I do photography because I love it. It’s an art form that evolves and endures much like the human spirit. No matter where I’m at or what I’m shooting, I feel a deep sense of content; this is my calling and my passion, hence the poem on the bottom-left.
I don’t want to mislead anyone though… I don’t sit around spouting off poetry and hugging trees. But in this case in particular, I think Robert Frost got it right: our lives only take on meaning when we are doing the things we love. I find this an essential truth in relationships, but just as the focus of this poem, even more so in the working world.
I founded Photologic Images in January, 2009 because I had the bug. I wanted to capture memories and life’s ebb & flow to give meaning to later generations. This is why people are my favorite subject: we’re what life is all about!
I graduated from Louisiana State University in 2007 with a BA in Mass Communication: Advertising from the Manship School of Mass Communication. Prior to graduation, I enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve and have been serving for nearly 6 years. Post graduation, I got into the B2B marketing scene and currently work by day as the Marketing Coordinator for Talaris Inc.’s North American division.
I enjoy all creative pursuits, from guitar/music, photography, graphic design… Yeah, pretty much everything. What I love about my career path is that creativity really takes a front seat.
